Renters and prospective renters, check out some new-to-us changes at FoxesCape in Wellfleet: refinished floors with handwoven rug by the late Dot Quaintance, vintage blocks from Eastham and little fox from Ptown, awesome new shower with mat made from recycled t-shirts, framed polka album from Delcy's parents' house, and "Ocean" mobile from West Stockbridge (Bill's Christmas present). Took the funicular to the Pilgrim Monument for the networking event of the Chambers of the Outer Cape. The view was spectacular! If you are a business looking to house seasonal workers in 2024, please PM me.

The Niskayuna Women's Book Club offsite meeting is a wrap! We had a wonderful time, even with all the rain -- we just switched pickleball to ping pong and the bonfire on the beach to the fireplace at FoxesCape. Dinner at the Bookstore and Restaurant was awesome, as was Porchfest. We walked like an Egyptian at Paige Turner's show "Drag Me to the 80s." Thank you, Sarah Celik, Eliza Kellish, Mary Keddell Patelos, and Rosemary Pyle for the delicious food and stimulating discussions, but most importantly for your love and friendship!

Bill Fox and I went to a cool event at the Addison Art Gallery : Playing with Knives and Brushes: Marc Kundmann and Andrea Petitto . For an hour, Marc Kundmann and Andrea painted for 10 minutes and then exchanged canvases. It was interesting to see how the two paintings developed! This weekend (Aug. 18, 19, and 20) is the Festival of the Arts in Chatham's Chase Park. I recommend it most highly! There are so many beautiful handcrafted items available, including Shibori textiles by Sue Mitrano of Blue Fox Studio (https://bluefoxstudio.net). Fri, Sat, and Sun 10a - 5p. Sue's booth is #56.
