I know we probably have several of you wondering how our Dahlia girl is doing. Well today we had our vet out for more radiographs to see if we've gained ground, lost ground or stayed the same and to nerve block her so she could be pain free for a little bit to get a really good set on her shoes. The stocks can be somewhat limiting in getting the shoes correctly and it doesn't eliminate it being uncomfortable. We have good news that we've gained some really ground on her coffin bone angles, so we'll keep doing what we've been doing and see where we end up. We are going to continue her on her peptide regimen because hopefully it has helped her get to where she is today and see if we can get complete healing. It definitely won't hurt. She did amazing after her blocks and it was so nice to shoe her like "normal" again. I'm sure it was much nicer for her as well, even though she did well in the stocks and doesn't fight them. Excuse her being a little long, we had this appointment scheduled several times earlier, but complications arose that made it where it had to be rescheduled until today. We are so excited and happy to see her progress because several months ago we were wondering if we were going to have to say goodbye before the bad weather hit.

We want to publicly welcome our new family member to the Diamond SR Carriage family. Please give a warm welcome to our new 2 year old Percheron. We have named him Trip. We couldn't pass him up when we went to the Boone County Draft Horse Sale at the beginning of September. We were not really looking for a horse as we were on a mission to buy a mule for a friend, but when this guy came through the ring at a minimal price we couldn't not raise our hand! He's been such an easy going, love so far. He's by far one of the most lovey horses we have brought into the family. We hope you guys will enjoy him as much as we have so far. He will be a good teammate for Tom and/or Rock and has already been started under harness.

Hey friends! We have donated a carriage ride for up to 5 people in Downtown Fort Collins to Averys Light for their NoCo Fest fundraiser. Not only is that apart of our package, but Rodizio Grill has generously donated a dinner for two to go along with our ride. Make it a night in Downtown Fort Collins! As many of you know the special needs community is very close to my heart as my sister has Down Syndrome and she uses programs provided from organizations just like Averys Light. Averys Light is a non-profit organization that is focused on improving the lives of individuals with special needs. So please help them be able to keep offering services by helping them to raise money to keep them going. Feel free to take a look at the other amazing silent auction items or feel free to bid on a ride with us, or if that's not possible please share this with your family and friends!

Diamond SR Carriage family we are asking for your help to help our friend Lori Couch. She is in the running for the 2026 Allies in Inclusion Award. If you've ever met Lori, you've seen her dedication to bringing awareness in how able the people in the disabilities community are. Lori really deserves this award and she needs our votes to help her against some other really solid finalists.

To everyone following Averys Lights journey. We had the incredible opportunity six months ago to hire the one and only Lori Couch as our executive Director. You don’t see her often because she’s always behind the scenes but everything that Averys light is doing is all because of her! We have accomplished so much since Lori has joined our organization. We are truly humbled and honored to be able to call her a friend and a part of Averys Light.
Lori is up for the 2026 Ally if Inclusion award. There is no one more deserving!

We had a great evening with amazing people, food, weather and horses. Crow Creek Events and Diamond SR Carriage LLC brought Buffalo Prairie Chuckwagon to life. It was a successful first chuckwagon dinner night. If you missed out, keep an eye open for our next date. You won't regret it.

She has been found 😊

WCSO MEDIA RELEASE: Alert for Mae Foos Cancelled-She Has Been Found Safe

[Weld County, Colo.] The sheriff’s office is relieved to announce the alert for 19-year-old Mae Foos has been cancelled, she is alive and has been safely located.

Thank you to the Weld County community for sharing our post, spreading the word about Mae, and showing up to help search for her. Your support and willingness to take action truly made a difference, and we are grateful for every effort made on her behalf.

A sincere thank you also goes out to all the law enforcement agencies that responded, as well as the Platte Valley Protection District, Colorado Search and Rescue, and the Weld County Office of Emergency Management. Their coordination, professionalism, and commitment were instrumental in supporting this effort.

No further information will be released today.
