McRae’s has been providing transportation services for the St. Germain Post Office since 2023. We’re fortunate to have a great crew up in the Northwoods representing McRae’s and serving this beautiful part of Wisconsin.

This week we’re stopping in Hartland, Wisconsin (53029)!

Hartland’s postal history dates all the way back to 1846, when the community’s first Post Office opened with William Clark serving as its first Postmaster. 📮

💡 Did you know?
• McRae’s has been making stops at the Hartland Post Office since 1987, when we first began servicing the location with a box truck. In 2017, we began bringing tractor trailers into Hartland while subbing for URSA Logistics, and in 2023, we added our own tractor trailer route serving this Post Office. 🚛
• The railroad arrived in Hartland in 1854 and played an important role in helping the community grow and develop. 🚂

Nearly 40 years after our first box truck pulled into Hartland, you can still find McRae’s alongside the USPS, helping keep the mail moving through Hartland and communities across Wisconsin.

Another stop. Another community. Another part of the network that keeps America’s mail moving.

McRae’s has proudly provided transportation services for the Thorp Post Office since 2013, helping keep the mail moving through central Wisconsin.

• Keep an eye out around Thorp and you’ll find more than 25 life-size themed cows throughout the community! The “Amazing Grazing Cows” celebrate the area’s strong dairy and agricultural heritage. 🐄🧀

• Thorp was named after Joseph Gilbert Thorpe, but railroad telegraphers reportedly dropped the “e” from his last name, giving Thorp the spelling it still has today.

McRae’s has been serving this facility since 2004, helping keep the USPS network moving throughout Wisconsin for more than 20 years.

• The Milwaukee RPDC/Annex is McRae’s busiest stop. Across multiple contracts and trips, our drivers arrive at this facility around 150 times every day, by far more than any other location we serve.

• Oak Creek’s location near major interstate, rail, and air transportation corridors has helped make the area an important transportation hub for southeastern Wisconsin.

With roughly 150 stops a day, 365 days a year, that’s nearly 55,000 McRae’s arrivals each year at this one facility! 🚛📬

This was simply a picture of our team. Today, it means something more. On Friday, we unexpectedly lost one of our drivers in a motorcycle accident.

It’s a reminder that life can change in an instant. Take the time to say good morning. Check in on your coworkers. Offer a helping hand. Be patient. Show appreciation. Never underestimate the impact of a simple “How are you?” or “Have a safe trip.” Those everyday moments often become the ones we remember most.

Our hearts are with the family, friends, and everyone affected by this loss. We are grateful to have had him as part of the McRae’s team.
