I think these are gonna be a big hit when we finally open shop. Which is coming y'all I promise. I know several of you want a real knife made by us. We are working on a way to brand and making sure our product will indeed last years before we come off the chain with everything. Testing the market to see what catches on etc......I (Michael) really do know how to start and run a business :D The boys are learning!! Mom does too of course but I think that's supposed to go without saying.

This is the first knife I made for myself (Michael). I wanted to make sure the steel we are going to sell others is strong and durable. Since we are using recycled metal like coil springs it's good to know what you're dealing with. The steel is strong. Ive whacked many tree limbs already and it only shows surface scratches. No knicks or dings on the edge.

We've been reluctant to make "real" knives until we knew the steel quality. Well it's almost too strong. We can barely get the holes drilled to put handles on so it's presented its own hang up. We have an order now that we are stuck in. We got 2 knives done and made but the 3rd just WILL NOT drill. 1/8 or 3/16. We've tried several bits and they will drill all the other steel around here but won't touch this one knife. Any suggestions on drilling small holes into tough steel is great! If not we will have to make another and assume it was just a rough part of the spring.

Oyster Shuckers. $30. These can be made for right or left hands.

Full disclosure family with all our businesses so understand that these are railroad spikes. They will rust quickly when exposed to water so vegetable oil is needed after each use and cleaning. They're awesome and have a great story but they need maintenance :D
