I think I found my new favorite adults-only resort in Mexico.

You know how I'm always talking about how the little details matter? My favorite resorts are the ones where everything feels intentional. The restaurants fit the theme. The landscaping fits the story. The music, decor and atmosphere all work together to transport you somewhere else - to your dream vacation.

That's exactly how I felt at UNICO 20°87°.

I've visited a lot of resorts, and so many are beautiful but interchangeable. If you blindfolded me and dropped me there, I couldn't tell you if I was in Mexico, Jamaica, Punta Cana, or somewhere else from looking at decor and restaurant choices.

UNICO feels different. It feels like authentic Mexico.

The design, the food, the artwork, the landscaping- it all feels inspired by nature and connected to where you are.

And the vibe? Peaceful. Luxury. Not boring. Not stuffy. Just incredibly intentional.

This is the resort I'd send the couple that tells me, "We don't need a party. We just want to relax."

Or the moms planning a girls trip who are running on caffeine and survival mode and need a few days where nobody asks them where their shoes are.

The food and service are fantastic. The spa is beautiful. The pools are gorgeous. And there are so many little places to just sit, have a drink, and exist for a minute.

What surprised me most is that it feels much more expensive than it often is. And the $200 resort credit per-night promotion can be used at the spa, beauty bar, and for golf. That seriously ups the relaxation factor of this property even more!!

When clients tell me they want luxury but don't necessarily have a luxury-resort budget, UNICO is one of the first places I'm checking.

It's adults-only, an easy flight into Cancun from much of the East Coast, and it's become one of those resorts that I immediately think of when someone says:

"We just need a break."

If that's you, send me a message right now. I'd love to see if UNICO is the right fit for your trip. 🌴

After years of planning travel, I've learned that the best resorts aren't the ones where nothing goes wrong...

They're the ones that make you feel taken care of when it does.

Anyone can hand you a welcome drink. Anyone can show you a beautiful pool. Anyone can take pretty photos for Instagram.

But what happens when your room has an issue?
What happens when you're uncomfortable?
What happens when you need help?

I'm currently staying at AVA Resort Cancun, and the past two nights I've been waking up absolutely drenched because my room has been incredibly humid. Not "a little warm." I mean waking up soaked through and feeling like I ran a marathon in my sleep.

This morning I called and asked if they happened to have a dehumidifier or fan….
Within 20 minutes, maintenance was at my room.
Within another 15 minutes, they delivered both!

Nobody acted annoyed. Nobody made excuses. Nobody treated me like I was inconveniencing them.
One team member at the front desk even called up and took my phone number so they could follow up later and make sure everything was working!

THAT is customer service.

Not pretending problems don't exist or just saying "we'll look into it….” Actually caring enough to solve the problem.

As a travel advisor, this is the stuff I pay attention to. Because let's be honest - something will go wrong on almost every trip. A delayed flight. A room issue. Bad weather. Travel isn't perfect.

The resorts I recommend aren't the ones where nothing ever goes wrong, they're the ones that make my clients feel taken care of when it does.

And here's another travel tip:
Kindness gets you much farther than entitlement.
The staff member helping you didn't create the problem. Treat people with respect, be patient, and you'll be amazed how often people genuinely want to help.

So now I'm curious...
What's the BEST customer service you've ever received while traveling?

I want to hear the stories!

Where are our clients traveling this summer? ☀️✈️

Every year has its trends, and 2026 has definitely been interesting to watch!

For families, the most popular destinations for summer are:
🏰 Walt Disney World
🚢 Disney Cruise Line
🏝️ Turks & Caicos
🌴 Punta Cana

For couples:
❤️ St. Lucia
💙 Curaçao
☀️ Mexico
🏖️ The Bahamas

And for honeymoons (where St. Lucia continues its reign as a perennial favorite):
💍 St. Lucia
🍝 Italy
🍷 Spain
🌿 St. Vincent

If you're scrolling through social media feeling a little bit of that mom guilt because a big summer vacation didn't happen this year, I want you to know you're not alone. Life is expensive, schedules are chaotic, and sometimes summer sneaks up on us (faster and faster each year - I have 4 kids, I get it!!)

The good news? It's absolutely not too early to start planning for next summer!

In fact, booking early often means:
✔️ Better resort, cruise, and room availability
✔️ Smaller deposits due at booking
✔️ The ability to make payments over time
✔️ A full year of price monitoring

One of my favorite parts of my job is that I continue watching pricing after you book. If your reservation qualifies for a lower rate later, I'll work to have that savings applied for you - even if it happens multiple times before your trip. These are some of my favorite emails to send to clients!

And if you're still hoping to sneak away this summer? There's still time! I have some fantastic last-minute cruise and all-inclusive deals available right now.

Send me a message and let's see what we can make happen. 🌴✨

✨ Resort Spotlight: AVA Resort Cancun ✨
In just a few days, I'll be checking into AVA Resort Cancun, and I am so excited to finally experience this one for myself!

AVA is one of Cancun's newest luxury all-inclusive resorts, and it has been getting a lot of attention for doing things a little differently. Every room is oceanfront, so no matter where you stay, you'll wake up to a water view!! 🌊

A few things that make AVA stand out:
✨ 17+ restaurants and bars with everything from casual snacks to upscale dining
✨ Multiple pools, including adults-only options
✨ A massive wellness and spa complex
✨ A huge lineup of activities including a water park, bowling, laser tag, simulators, and more
✨ Family-friendly amenities while still offering plenty of space for couples and adults to relax
✨ 24-hour room service and premium beverages included
✨ Beautiful modern suites with floor-to-ceiling ocean views

What has me most intrigued is that AVA seems to blend the feel of a luxury resort with the entertainment and activity options of a much larger destination resort. It's not just a place to sit by the pool (although I fully intend to do some of that too 😆).

I'll be sharing photos, food reviews, room tours, and my honest thoughts while I'm there, so if you've been curious about AVA Resort Cancun, follow along!

Have questions you'd like me to check out while I'm there? Drop them below and I'll add them to my list. 👇

🚢 Nassau: Do you stay on the ship... or get off and explore?

This might be one of the most divisive cruise ports out there - especially for my Disney Cruise Line families! 😅

Some cruisers won't get off the ship at all.
Others love Nassau and never miss a stop.

I'll be back in Nassau soon on a Disney Cruise (35 days, who's counting?!), and honestly? I think Nassau gets an unfair reputation.

Years ago, I understood the complaints. The port felt crowded, the vendors could be pushy, and it wasn't everyone's favorite stop.

But Nassau Cruise Port recently underwent a massive renovation, and the cruise port experience is completely different now. You can easily hop off the ship, browse local shops, grab a drink, enjoy the waterfront views, and head back onboard without feeling overwhelmed.

If you want to venture beyond the port, though, you need a plan.

Here are my favorite Nassau day options:

🏖️ Want the easiest beach day?
➡️ Margaritaville Beach Resort
Just a short walk from the cruise port and you'll find:
✨ Beach access
✨ Lazy river
✨ Waterslides
✨ FlowRider surf simulator
Perfect for families who want a resort day without a long taxi ride.

🌊 Traveling with older kids or thrill seekers?
➡️ Baha Bay at Baha Mar
This is where I'd go.
✨ Huge waterpark
✨ Thrill slides
✨ Wave pool
✨ Lazy river
✨ Beautiful resort grounds
It's about a 15-minute taxi ride and absolutely worth it.

🍹 Looking for adults-only relaxation?
➡️ Warwick Paradise Island
✨ Adults only (16+)
✨ Food & drinks included
✨ Private beach
✨ Pool
✨ Stress-free day
Basically the opposite of a busy cruise port.

🚕 One more Nassau tip:
There is NO Uber or Lyft.
Use the official taxi stand at the port, confirm your fare before getting in, and bring some cash (small bills)! Most drivers won't take cards.

Now I want to know...

👇 When your cruise stops in Nassau, what do YOU do?

🚢 Stay onboard and enjoy an empty ship OR 🌴 Get off and explore??

And if you've been recently, has the renovated port changed your opinion?!

🚢 Royal Caribbean just dropped some fantastic cruise deals - but you'll need to move quickly!

These offers are only available through June 9, and some sailings and stateroom categories are also eligible for onboard credit when booking through us!

Here are two of my favorite options right now:

🌴 Wonder of the Seas
3-Night Perfect Day Getaway Cruise
Sailing from Miami
Starting at $379 per person (including taxes & fees)

Perfect for a quick escape if you don't want to take a full week off work! You'll still get to experience one of the largest cruise ships in the world plus a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay.

☀️ Star of the Seas
7-Night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day Cruise
Sailing from Port Canaveral
Starting at $1,249 per person (including taxes & fees)

This is Royal Caribbean's newest ship, and honestly, it's one of the most anticipated cruise launches in years. Families, couples, and multigenerational groups are all eyeing Star of the Seas for 2026 and 2027 vacations.

A few things to keep in mind:
✨ These prices are based on specific sailings and stateroom categories.
✨ Some sailings are eligible for onboard credit.
✨ Availability can change quickly.
✨ The promotion ends June 9.

If you've been thinking about taking a cruise, now is a great time to take a look before these offers disappear!

Message me for sailing dates, onboard credit eligibility, or a personalized quote!

Last night, I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful couples who are just beginning to plan their 2026 and 2027 honeymoons! ❤️

The destinations I heard most often? 🇮🇹 Italy, 🌺 Hawaii, 🌴 St. Lucia, and 🌿 St. Vincent.

One thing I always tell honeymoon couples: start planning early!

The earlier you begin, the more options you'll have for resorts, room categories, flights, and special experiences. Whether you're dreaming of an overwater bungalow, a cliffside suite overlooking the Pitons, a luxury all-inclusive, or a custom Italian itinerary, the best availability is almost always found early.

And one of the biggest perks of working with me? I continue monitoring your reservation after booking. If a promotion is released and your resort, room category, and travel dates qualify, I'll work to have those savings applied whenever possible. There's no fee for our concierge travel services, and we have access to some amazing perks for our honeymoon clients due to our strong relationships with properties around the world! ❤️

I am so excited to help these couples create vacations they'll remember for the rest of their lives!!

If you're planning a honeymoon, destination wedding, bachelor or bachelorette trip, anniversary getaway, or group vacation, I'd love to help!

🌴 It's never too early to start planning your dream vacation!!

The families who get the best room categories, best resort availability, and often the best pricing are usually the ones booking 8-12 months ahead of travel. Plus, when you book early, you can make payments over time instead of paying for everything at once.

One of my favorite family resorts in the Caribbean is Beaches Negril.

If Beaches Turks & Caicos feels a little overwhelming, Beaches Negril offers that same incredible Beaches experience in a smaller, more relaxed setting.

Why families love it:
☀️ Located directly on Jamaica's famous Seven Mile Beach
☀️ Calm, crystal-clear water that's perfect for kids
☀️ Gorgeous sunsets every evening
☀️ Waterpark just steps from the beach
☀️ Sesame Street characters and Kids Camp programs
☀️ Unlimited dining, drinks, water sports, entertainment, and gratuities included
☀️ Scuba diving included for certified divers

One of my favorite things about Beaches Negril is how easy it is to navigate. Parents can relax on the beach while kids bounce between the waterpark and the ocean without feeling like the family is spread all over the resort!

I'm currently pricing 6 nights next April for a family of four (2 adults + 2 children) in a Concierge Level room, and for April travel, the pricing is surprisingly strong.

If you're dreaming of a walkable beach, calm water, breathtaking sunsets, and a resort that makes family vacations easy, Beaches Negril deserves a spot on your list!

📌 Is Disney After Hours worth it?

For me, the answer is yes - especially at Magic Kingdom!

There is just something extra magical about riding Pirates of the Caribbean at night with only your family in your boat! The park feels completely different at night, and with much lower crowds, you can accomplish so much in just a few hours.

A few things to know:
✨ Ice cream novelties, popcorn, bottled water, and soda are included.
✨ Disney limits attendance, so waits are typically much shorter than during the day.
✨ You can enter the park before the event officially begins, giving you even more time!
✨ You can still find PhotoPass photographers during After Hours! This is a GREAT time to get some photos without all the crowds in the background.

But here's the most underrated benefit...

☀️ LESS HEAT.

If you have someone in your travel party who doesn't love walking around in the Florida sun all day, After Hours can be a game changer.

One of my favorite strategies is to plan an After Hours event on a day you don't have a regular park ticket. Sleep in, enjoy a relaxing resort day, spend time at the pool (I highly recommend a cabana rental if your resort offers them), grab a leisurely lunch, maybe even fit in a spa treatment, and then head to the park later in the afternoon!

By the time the event is in full swing, the sun is setting, temperatures are dropping, and you're not starting your park day already exhausted from hours in the heat. For families with young kids, grandparents, or anyone who struggles with the summer weather, this can make a Disney vacation much more enjoyable.

My personal take on the parks:

🏰 Magic Kingdom After Hours
My favorite by far. There are so many attractions packed into one park that you can get an incredible amount done. Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan, Space Mountain... and then ride your favorites again. If you're going to splurge on one After Hours event, this is the one I'd choose.

🎬 Hollywood Studios After Hours
A close second. Galaxy's Edge is gorgeous at night, and being able to ride Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway with much shorter waits is a huge advantage. This is especially great if you're trying to avoid spending half your vacation standing in line for the big headliners. I will die on the hill that Hollywood Studios is the HOTTEST PARK in Disney (especially in the Toy Story Land section), so the LESS HEAT perk is especially beneficial here!

🌐 EPCOT After Hours
We did this one last summer and had a blast. The DJ had the place hopping, the atmosphere was fun, and we got everything done that we wanted to do.

That said, EPCOT is the most situational. Keep in mind that MOST of the World Showcase booths aren't open during these events. World Showcase is beautiful at night, but some of EPCOT's daytime appeal isn't available. Also, Guardians of the Galaxy still had about a 30-minute wait (and can be even longer) when we were there, so if your plan is to ride it back-to-back all night, just know there may still be a queue!

Have you done a Disney After Hours event? Which park would you choose?

06/01/2026

✨ I may be wrong... but after spending this past weekend at Walt Disney World, I think a lot of families are overlooking what could be one of the best summers to visit Disney.

✨ One of the best parts of my job is getting to watch families arrive at Disney knowing they're about to make memories they'll talk about for years!!
This week alone, I have clients checking in at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Riverside, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Contemporary Resort (with a fireworks view! ), Disney's Beach Club Resort, and more...

And I am SO excited for them.

Why? Because Disney feels different right now... think less crowded, and more going on for kids.

I was booking dining reservations for a family arriving in early July and was honestly surprised by what was still available.

We're talking:
✨ Topolino's Terrace
✨ Cape May Cafe
✨ Cinderella's Royal Table

If you've done Disney before, you know these aren't usually easy reservations to grab less than 60 days out.

When I'm still seeing availability for some of Disney's most popular dining experiences this close to travel, it tells me crowds may not be tracking the way they have during some previous summers.

If you've been on the fence about Disney, this might actually be one of the best summers we've seen in a while.

Current promotions include:
🏰 Kids ages 3–9 eat FREE with a qualifying dining plan package
(Yes, this includes character dining!)

💦 FREE water park admission on arrival day

🎟️ Special discounted tickets, including the 4-Park Magic Ticket

☀️ After 2 PM admission tickets for families who want pool mornings and park evenings

🏨 Up to 30% off select resort rooms

📺 Additional room discounts for Disney+ subscribers

One thing I keep telling families right now:
If you're deciding between 2026 and "maybe next year," don't automatically wait!

The free kids dining offer ends December 31, 2026, and for many families that's a substantial savings.

For my families arriving this week... have the BEST time. Ride the rides. Eat the Mickey waffles. Stay for the fireworks. Take all the pictures!! ❤️

And if Walt Disney World has been on your family's wish list, it's definitely not too late to make it happen this year.

✨ Message me and let's see what's available for your dates!
