Travel Memory Saturday 🚢❤️

David and I took our very first cruise back in 1998, and it just happened to be a Disney Cruise. Talk about setting the bar HIGH for every cruise that followed! 😂

It remains, by far, one of my all-time favorite trips. Our daughter Angela was 15, and we spent a few precious days together making memories that I’m so thankful I captured in pictures.

I remember one evening after dinner, David and I went up to the top deck to watch the sunset. As we stood there looking out at the water, we both realized something…

This is why we work as hard as we do. ❤️

Life has a way of throwing curves you never see coming. If someone had told us back then that our daughter would face mental illness, and that just five short years later we would begin raising our grandsons, I’m not sure we would have believed them.

Life certainly didn’t turn out exactly the way we imagined.

But raising our grandsons? That is something I would never change. ❤️

Looking back at these pictures reminds me that we never really know what life is going to bring. We can make plans, work hard, and think we know what the future holds… but sometimes the greatest gift is simply taking the trip, enjoying the moment, and making the memories while you can.

So this is your reminder from me:

Take the trip. ❤️
Make the memories. 📸
Enjoy the sunset. 🌅
Because you just never know what life will bring.

And I’m forever thankful for this trip, this memory, and the happy few days we had together. 🚢❤️
