Barkley Regional Airport was a Congressional Sponsor for today’s Public Policy Luncheon featuring Congressman James Comer at The Carson Center.

We appreciated the opportunity to hear from Congressman Comer and connect with leaders from across the region. Staying engaged in conversations like these helps ensure that aviation, infrastructure, economic development, and the needs of Western Kentucky remain part of the conversation as we continue working to strengthen our region.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s luncheon possible!

Quick Florida Get-a-Ways Could Be at Your Fingertips: Take the Survey by August 21st

METROPOLIS, IL — The Barkley Regional Airport Authority is seeking public input as it explores expanding air service to Florida and other popular beach destinations.

Area residents are invited to share their travel preferences through an online survey aimed at gauging regional demand for direct or expanded flights.

The airport authority is using this feedback to help recruit potential air carriers and build a case for new non-stop routes—a move that would make a quick getaway logistically possible for area travelers.

The survey is quick, open to the public, and easy to complete. Community members listening in Metropolis and Massac County, Illinois and Beyond are encouraged to make their voices heard before the upcoming deadline.
