ImEx Cargo is a digital freight ex*****on company operating at the intersection of logistics, infrastructure, and global cargo networks. We act as an ex*****on layer across airlines, GSAs, freight forwarders, trucking providers, and government supply chains—coordinating how cargo actually moves, not just how it is sold. With over 30 years of industry experience and deep relationships across global air cargo markets, ImEx Cargo combines:

Airline cargo sales and market development
End-to-end freight ex*****on (air, ocean, trucking)
Government and infrastructure logistics
A growing digital platform: Plug-In Freight Ops™
What Makes Us Different

Most logistics companies focus on transactions. We focus on ex*****on and coordination at scale. Through Plug-In Freight Ops™, we provide:

Standardized quote, booking, and tracking workflows
Real-time visibility across fragmented partners
Activation of airline, GSA, and DBE partner networks
Accountability and reporting for enterprise and government clients

We sit on top of existing systems, not replacing them—connecting the ecosystem so it performs as one. Who We Work With
Airlines and GSSAs looking to scale without adding overhead
Freight forwarders needing structured ex*****on and visibility
Government agencies and prime contractors requiring compliance and coordination
Logistics partners seeking access to larger programs and contracts
Why It Matters

As supply chains become more complex, ex*****on—not access—is the constraint. ImEx Cargo is building the infrastructure layer that ensures cargo moves with visibility, accountability, and precision across every handoff.

After more than 30 years in air cargo and logistics, one operational challenge continues to stand out: moving freight between companies is often easier than coordinating the responsibilities between them.

Airlines have systems. GSAs and GSSAs have systems. Ground handlers, forwarders, and trucking providers have systems.

But when a shipment is delayed, a pickup fails, or responsibility shifts between organizations, much of the coordination still depends on emails, phone calls, and people tracking down answers.

This is the problem we're addressing with Plug-In Freight Ops™ (PIFO), the digital ex*****on infrastructure initiative we're developing through ImEx Cargo.

With the TIACA Air Cargo Forum approaching, we're connecting with industry colleagues to discuss:

• Cross-enterprise handoffs and exception management
• Operational accountability across independent organizations
• Coordination between existing cargo and logistics systems
• Potential workflow validation and design partnerships

We're also preparing a focused demonstration of an air-cargo-to-trucking exception workflow, showing how responsibility, escalation, recovery, and verified closure can be coordinated across organizational boundaries.

If you're attending TIACA in Miami, I'd welcome the opportunity to compare operational perspectives and explore where this approach could create measurable value.

Stop treating logistics like a series of transactions. 🛑

Shipping a crate is a task. Coordinating a fragmented, multi-stakeholder ecosystem is a strategy.

Most logistics breakdowns don’t happen during transport: they happen at the handoff. When communication gaps exist between airlines, forwarders, and trucking partners, your ex*****on suffers.

At ImEx Cargo, we’ve moved beyond just "Shipping." We are in the Coordination Business. ✈️

Our Plug-In Freight Ops™ platform isn't another TMS. It’s the digital ex*****on infrastructure that sits ABOVE your existing systems to standardize the full shipment lifecycle.

✔️ Total Workflow Visibility
✔️ Partner Accountability
✔️ Structured Handoffs
💠 From Quote to Delivery

Stop guessing. Start growing. It’s time to shift from manual tracking to infrastructure-grade coordination.

Most logistics tech doesn’t fail because it’s "bad." It fails because it doesn’t talk to anyone else. 🛑

We’ve all been there: buried in a mountain of emails, juggling ten different spreadsheets, and trying to track a single shipment across five disconnected systems. It’s not just frustrating: it’s a recipe for ex*****on breakdown.

At ImEx Cargo, we built Plug-In Freight Ops™ to end the fragmentation. It’s not another "system" to add to your pile. It’s the digital coordination layer that sits above everything else, standardizing ex*****on across your full shipment lifecycle.

Why it’s a game-changer:
✔️ Eliminates the "Email Search" for status updates.
✔️ Replaces messy spreadsheets with real-time visibility.
✔️ Unifies airlines, forwarders, and truckers into one workflow.
💠 Performance tracking that actually holds partners accountable.

Stop guessing. Start growing. 🚀

The GSSA Evolution Part 3: The Infrastructure Layer 🌐

In the rush to digitize, we’ve created more fragmentation. Forwarders and airlines are drowning in logins and disconnected workflows. Plug-In Freight Ops™ is the solution. It doesn't replace existing systems; it sits above them as a single coordination layer to standardize the full shipment lifecycle.

✔️ One unified source of truth for all stakeholders.
✔️ Real-time visibility from quote to delivery.
✔️ Structured handoffs that reduce human error.

💠 The Human-Digital Balance:
Technology should empower people, not replace them. Our infrastructure handles the data "noise" so the ImEx Cargo team can focus on what moves freight: relationships, expertise, and high-touch service. 🤝

Stop managing portals. Start managing performance. 🚀

Why is compliance reporting still a manual nightmare?

Primes spend hundreds of hours digging through emails and invoices to prove DBE utilization. It’s reactive. It’s messy. It’s high-risk.

We flipped the script. Plug-In Freight Ops™ creates an audit-ready trail in real-time.

👉 Real-time utilization tracking
👉 Automated outreach logs
👉 Verified performance data

Modernization doesn’t mean replacing everything.

It means making what already exists actually work together.

That’s where most transformation efforts stall.

Not because the tech doesn’t exist : but because systems weren’t designed to interoperate across teams, vendors, or agencies.

What’s the hardest system you’ve tried to make “talk” to another one?

I’m heading to Miami for TIACA’s Air Cargo Forum, October 26–29, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and meeting new industry partners.

After more than 30 years in logistics and air cargo, relationships remain central to my work. This year, I’m also bringing conversations about what we’re building next:

• Plug-In Freight Ops™ — a walkthrough of our approach to coordinating cargo workflows, handoffs, exceptions and accountability across companies and existing systems.
• ImEx Cargo Academy — employer workforce needs, practical industry skills, and opportunities for education and workforce partnerships.
• ImEx Cargo — commercial relationships and opportunities to work together across the cargo ecosystem.

If you have an ex*****on challenge, a workforce need, or a partnership idea, let’s make time to discuss it. And if we haven’t caught up in a while, that’s reason enough to meet.

Your booth, a coffee, or a convenient spot at the forum - let’s connect.

Stop treating workforce development like a side project. Universities aren’t looking for career fair booths; they need structural industry alignment.

The logistics industry doesn't have a hiring problem: it has a workforce infrastructure problem. Without a common coordination layer, talent and operational needs remain fragmented. Industry, education, and government must move beyond "training" into "ex*****on."

This is the core mission of Plug-In Freight Ops™: The Workforce Innovation Network (WIN).

💠 Real workforce pathways require:
✔️ Digital coordination across all stakeholders.
✔️ Performance tracking from classroom to career.
✔️ Scalable, industry-led ecosystems.

Workforce activation is a strategic advantage determining operational resilience. At ImEx Cargo, WIN provides that layer. We standardize handoffs between education and infrastructure-grade ex*****on to ensure the next generation is ready for the tarmac, not just the classroom.

Don't just recruit. Coordinate via WIN.

Discover how to bridge the gap in our 20-part series.

The industry has a "Post and Pray" problem. 🚨

You’ve seen it: a position opens up, it’s posted to a generic board, and everyone prays a qualified human magically appears. When they don’t, we call it a "labor shortage." When they leave, it’s a "retention crisis."

But let’s be honest: it’s actually a coordination failure.

Air cargo doesn’t just need more employees; it needs workforce infrastructure. It needs the Workforce Innovation Network (WIN): a common coordination layer where industry, education, and government talk in real-time.

At ImEx Cargo, we’re shifting the conversation from manual hiring to strategic infrastructure via Plug-In Freight Ops: The Workforce Innovation Network (WIN).

💠 Why Coordination Trumps Hiring:
✔️ Real-Time Visibility: See who is responsible for the next handoff.
✔️ Structured Handoffs: Guide the workflow from quote to delivery.
✔️ Partner Accountability: Hold every participant to the same standards.
✔️ Reduced Risk: Eliminate the "black holes" in your supply chain.

The WIN isn't a training program. It’s the digital ex*****on layer that connects industry demand with talent supply.

Most logistics companies tell you what they do. Very few explain why they exist.

For 30 years, Michelle DeFronzo worked the phones, handled the crises, and moved freight across borders. She didn’t just watch the industry grow; she watched it break.

The problem wasn't a lack of software. The problem was fragmentation. Too many emails, disconnected players, and zero accountability.

So she stopped asking "How do we move more freight?" and started asking "Why is nobody coordinating the ecosystem itself?"

The result is Plug-In Freight Ops™.

It’s not another freight platform. It’s the digital ex*****on infrastructure layer that sits above the chaos to connect people, partners, and workflows already in motion.

Built by an operator, for operators.

Stop managing the mess. Start managing the ex*****on.

Join the coordination layer.
