When labeling your boxes, don't just write the destination room on the top. Write it on the side, too!

Why? Once boxes are stacked, those labels on top can disappear from view. Having the room clearly marked on the side makes it easier for movers to know exactly where each box belongs.

A little extra labeling can save time and confusion when everything arrives at your new home!

Cleaning products, household chemicals, aerosols, and other liquids can leak, spill, or create problems during a move. Before packing up the cabinets, take a few minutes to sort through what you have.

Check containers for leaks, dispose of anything you no longer need, and keep products that require special handling separate from the rest of your belongings.

Before you break them all down, let the kids get creative. Build a living room fort, make a rocket ship, create a cardboard race car, or turn a few boxes into a giant canvas.
