Tipping your movers is totally up to you, though it is always appreciated. Moving is a tough job, and our professional movers take care with your items and your home and drive enormous trucks into tricky neighborhoods. If you plan to tip, here are some things to consider:
Tip more if:
The job involves a lot of heavy or awkward items—like safes, pianos, or big appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.)
The weather is extra hot or cold
The crew has to move things a long distance to the truck or up many stairs, or you have a lot of fragile, delicate items
Tip less (or not at all) if:
Your movers were late
If they were careless or damaged your things
If they treated you or your home disrespectfully
(You should also let the moving company know if this happens.)
Logistics:
Hand your tip directly to each mover, rather than making them split it up or offer you change.
Many companies don’t allow the tip to be included with your card or check payment, so cash is always appreciated.
Offering cold drinks and snacks is a nice gesture, on top of your tips
Our team always treats you and your things with respect. Tips are a great way to show your satisfaction.
