Winging It Garage Tweek’d transmissions and other projects around the garage. 4L80e, TH400 builds This is just a build log of my blazer and for anyone interested in following it.

Its going to be a long project that i am hoping to finish this summer (2018). This truck is being built for mostly street with occasional strip. 6.0 ls with borg s485 billet turbo. snearly glide, ms3 pro ultimate. Thanks for any input.

This 95 unit came in. No 3-4 ( go figure). So assembled all the drums. Air tested all of those and got them in spec. Next is vacuum testing valve body and pump. Noticed 3-4 shift valve low and not in spec. I machined a O-Ring end cap at the end of the valve and got it up pass spec. Now waiting on new vane pump parts and converter and itlll be ready to go.

Jeff Ross Th400 build. Stockish rebuild build. Did a 34 element sprag, undated the intermediate spring and piston. Both high energy frictions, rollerized rear and trans go shift kit. Also dual fed the direct with 6 frictions. Should be a solid unit for a 83 corvette

Got this core in for a few upgrades and no forward gears . Upon disassembly i knew once i pull valve body it was going to be a fun one. Several key items missing. Shafts , springs , you name it. This 4l80e got picked up with what it seemed like a broken input shaft. Tear down found a stripped overrun planetary and input shaft. This is a big wheel Monte Carlo with a pro chargered Ls. Upgraded to a billet input shaft and few other upgrades to keep this car on the road
