Houff Transfer, Inc. Dedicated to providing superior van truckload freight distribution to the Mid-Atlantic region. Our driver turnover rate is one of the lowest in the industry.

Founded in 1937 and family owned every mile of the way, we strive for cost-effective excellence and total customer satisfaction. We stress safety, reliability, teamwork and a personal relationship with employees and customers. With terminals in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, we meet specialized and individualized customer needs. Our centralized dispatch, locally domiciled drivers and close-knit family work with uncompromising integrity to serve our customers and community. We have grown from a one-truck operation to now transporting over 42,000 truckloads a year. Houff drivers are highly experienced professionals and qualified to handle hazardous materials. Most drivers also have their security cleared by the Department of Homeland Security and posess Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC).

🚛 Looking Back on a Busy September! 🇺🇸

As September comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a month we’re extremely grateful for. 🙌

We kicked things off by welcoming Wilson Workplace Rehab to learn more about the trucking industry, celebrated drivers reaching incredible milestones, welcomed many great new drivers to the Houff Transfer fleet, and most importantly, celebrated our truck drivers during Truck Driver Appreciation Week! 🎉

Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to give back with TV giveaways 📺, road goodie bags 🎁, gift cards 💳, and meals at our terminals 🍽️. Just a small way to say THANK YOU to the men and women who keep America moving.

It’s easy to overlook the sacrifices truck drivers make every day the long hours, time away from home, and countless miles on the road, but their work keeps store shelves stocked, businesses running, and food on our tables. 🇺🇸

September may be over, but appreciation shouldn’t be.

The next time you see a truck driver, take a moment to say THANK YOU! 🚛👏

🚛 Celebrating 42 Years of Dedication to Virginia’s Trucking Association! 🇺🇸

We’re proud to highlight a truly special milestone for the Virginia Trucking Association. At this year’s Annual Conference, our President, Zane Houff, who also currently serves as Chairman of the VTA, had the honor of celebrating Dale Bennett as he begins his retirement after an incredible 42 years of dedicated service.

For more than four decades, Dale has worked tirelessly not only for the VTA, but for all truckers and the trucking industry across the Commonwealth of Virginia. 👏

Thank you, Dale, for 42 years of leadership, dedication, and service to our industry and the great state of Virginia. 🇺🇸

We’re proud to celebrate another 90 days without a lost-time injury! This is a great accomplishment and a testament to everyone’s continued commitment to working safely and looking out for one another.

Today, we celebrated Doug Cox and his incredible 40-year career with Houff Transfer.

Straight out of high school, Doug started working in our truck and trailer shop and never looked back. For four decades, he has been the definition of dedication, hard work, and loyalty; always willing to do whatever needed to be done and living by a true first in, last out mentality.

Doug has made an impact not only through his work, but through the countless relationships and friendships he has built along the way. Today, he was surrounded by many current and former HTI employees who came together to celebrate him. In that room was more than 250 combined years of experience in the shop alone! That says a lot about the people Doug has worked alongside and the legacy he leaves behind.

Here’s to Cox! 🍻🎊
