There’s something special about these early fall mornings…leaving the harbor when it’s darker, chillier, and feeling that crisp bite in the air (best when it gradually gives way to sun)! As long as the wind lays low and the fish keep showing up, we’ll be heading onto the water. Been meaning to share these catches from the N’Sanity with everyone, but the schedule has been hectic.

Some days on the water become a little something more. From Captain Chris on the Meagan Anne…these guests came to remember a beloved life, just hoping for salmon and a few good stories. They dropped for a bonus fish and a halibut rose to meet them…family felt like it was a gift moment from their lost loved one. The day ended with glacier stop to scatter ashes and share a quiet goodbye right where the ice keeps its own kind of time. Thank you for letting us be part of your remembrance. We’re all holding your family in our thoughts.

Pretty sure our restrictions on harvesting halibut on Tuesdays and Wednesdays end on August 25, 2026. Here’s a great group with Captain Rob on the N’Sanity taking in silvers and rockfish! Room just opened this weekend…8/30 and 8/31! Sneak in a late-summer escape before the leaves start to turn, the breezes pick up and the rain starts pouring down!

Quick apology, but the office person has gone back to juggling winter work! I’ve missed posting a flood of incredible captain photos…these are in from the Meagan Anne on a no halibut day. Rolling into fall, we’ll sadly be moving to two vessels for the shoulder season as Captain Chris and Star head back south. Want in on the action before that up and coming road trip?
