I want to apologize for the posts I’ve made asking for financial assistance for Give it a Whirl.
I started this business with a dream, a lot of determination, and a desire to help people in our community. But chasing a dream is one thing. Realizing that you may not be able to financially sustain that dream the way things are going is another.
From now through the end of this year, I believe we’re going to find out what the future holds for Give it a Whirl.
I’ll admit, there are days when I feel like I’m failing. I’ve had multiple people tell me that maybe it’s time to look at doing something else. As much as I don’t want to hear that, I also have to be realistic enough to understand that I cannot continue doing things the same way and expect a different outcome.
That doesn’t mean I’m quitting today.
It means something has to change.
Maybe that means changing the direction of the business. Maybe it means focusing more on transportation, errands, grocery shopping, prescription pickup, and the services people still truly need. Maybe it means finding additional work while continuing Give it a Whirl on a smaller scale.
I don’t have all the answers right now.
What I do know is that I’m thankful for every person who has ever trusted me with a delivery, a ride, an errand, a grocery trip, an airport run, or simply shared one of our posts.
For the remainder of this year, I’m going to keep trying, keep evaluating, and keep praying about what comes next.
Sometimes a dream doesn’t die—it just has to change.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Give it a Whirl along the way. ❤️
