YoloTD is grateful to have been awarded $1 million by the Sacramento Area Council of Governments to support the creation of a new location for Yolobus’ Woodland transfer point. Currently located at the County Fair Mall, the transfer point is a hub for Yolobus passengers who transfer between routes including the popular 42A and 42B which travel between the Sacramento International Airport, downtown Sacramento, West Sacramento, Davis, and Woodland.
The new location will be on Woodland’s Main Street between 5th and 6th Streets. This move places transit closer to jobs, services, and housing while improving transit connectivity between downtown Woodland and popular regional destinations.
“We are honored to receive this grant that enables us to construct the new and improved Woodland Transfer Point at such a perfect location,” said YoloTD Executive Director Autumn Bernstein. “Our community outreach in Woodland showed public transit as a top concern and this is a major step toward a safer and more pleasant experience for our riders.”
