I’m really glad I got the chance to fly Spirit and actually document it. For the last couple years, they quietly built something pretty solid. That “premium economy” setup with the blocked middle seat was one of the best values in the sky, and their crews were consistently some of the friendliest I’ve dealt with.

I flew them three more times after this first trip (video in the comments), and every time was genuinely good. No chaos, no horror stories. Just solid travel and good people.

Tough day for a lot of really good people who made that experience happen, and for the customers who actually understood the value they were offering. Hoping those crews land somewhere that treats them even better.

Of all the crazy travel we do, my favorite moments are still the ones where I get to pull off a surprise for Amanda. This one might be my all-time favorite.

The whole plan was a setup for a single moment. I found a loophole that turned a simple free room offer at Mohegan Sun into their $5,000 Presidential Suite for only $142, but the real challenge was keeping it a secret. I even skipped the VIP check-in and used a kiosk so she wouldn't suspect a thing.

Because the suite wasn't the prize. Her reaction was the real jackpot.

She’s flying. I’m taking over six hours of First Class train bliss — which still costs less than “extra legroom” on most airlines. 🚄💺

Way more intense than it looked (seriously, we hit some Gs), but such a blast.
