We’re hiring an IT Manager / Systems Administrator!

Smith Trucking is looking for an experienced IT professional to manage and support the technology that keeps our transportation operation connected and moving.

This is a hybrid position based in Worthington, Minnesota. Work-from-home flexibility will vary by project and business needs, but regular on-site work is required. Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Worthington.

What we’re looking for:

• Two or more years of IT systems administration experience
• Experience with Hyper-V, servers, networks, and backups
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and network security
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Availability for occasional after-hours support

Salary: $80,000–$100,000+ based on qualifications and experience.

Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a matching 401(k).

A short synopsis of Smith Trucking's 80-year history was featured on today's front page of The Globe. Thank you for choosing us to be one of the featured families in your "The American Dream" series. What Mike says at the end is really what it's all been about.

“I think we’ve achieved the American Dream of being able to work hard and achieve success, experience failure, and have the ability to come back from that,” Mike shared. “It’s done through working with good people, smart people, caring people.”

Success is never guaranteed, he added, whether someone is in business for eight months or 80 years.

“You always have to work hard and work through adversity every day,” he said. “We’ve tried to make sure that we honor God through our business and have always been taught by our parents that we are just stewards of our business; we are not the owners.

“We want to use our business to achieve what God wants through us,” he added.

Smith Trucking is hiring a full-time Overnight S**g Driver in Worthington, Minnesota.

💰 Overnight s**g drivers averaged approximately $1,640 gross per week based on 2026 payroll through September 11. This includes overtime and the weekly overnight differential. Individual earnings vary.

✅ 6:00 PM–4:00 AM available now
✅ $23.50–$26.50 per hour based on experience
✅ Additional $100 weekly overnight differential
✅ Overtime expected
✅ Home daily
✅ Benefits available

A valid Class A CDL is required. Applicants must be available for frequent Saturdays, rotating weekend on-call duty and busy periods leading up to holidays.
