Tomorrow morning, bright and early, I’m flying to Orlando solo! And if I’m being honest… I haven’t flown by myself since I was probably 10 years old, so this is definitely going to feel a little strange! 😂

But beyond the nerves, I am SO excited for this trip! I’ll be experiencing everything Universal Orlando Resort and Magic Kingdom with MNSSHP have to offer so I can bring you all the inside scoop.

The Vacation Plot Twist

You know how you start planning a vacation thinking, “This will be relaxing…”?

And then somehow you’re researching excursions at midnight, looking up restaurants, checking flights, debating what shoes to pack, and creating a 47-item packing list.

So today I want to know:

What’s the ONE thing you absolutely refuse to do on vacation? 👀

🚫 Wake up early
🚫 Cook
🚫 Drive
🚫 Do laundry
🚫 Set an alarm
🚫 Visit somewhere crowded
🚫 Have an itinerary
🚫 Sit still for more than 5 minutes

Mine would be: have an itinerary. We usually just go with the flow. On cruises we do a show, shore excursion and dinner at the main dining room and that’s all we have planned. The rest we make it up as we go. Also depends on the twins moods. 😂

Okay, settle an important debate…especially since I’m traveling soon.

You’re leaving for a 7-day vacation. Your suitcase can only have ONE extra thing beyond the necessities.

What are you packing?

📚 A book
👟 Extra shoes
🍿 Snacks
📸 A camera
🍹 Your favorite tumbler
🧥 An extra outfit “just in case”

One thing I wish more people knew before booking a vacation:

The cheapest price isn’t always the best deal.

Sometimes a slightly higher price can mean better flights, a better room location, more convenient transfers, better cancellation terms, or perks that make your trip SO much easier.

That’s one of the reasons I love being a travel advisor — I’m not just looking for a price. I’m looking at the whole vacation.

Because nobody wants to save $100 on their trip just to spend it later fixing something that could’ve been avoided.

Travel smarter, not just cheaper.

Be honest… which one are you?

A. I plan my vacation months in advance
B. I book the trip and THEN figure out the details
C. I have a Pinterest board before I even book
D. I just want someone else to handle everything
E. I’m already planning my next vacation while I’m still on a vacation

ONE WEEK UNTIL FLORIDA!

The countdown is officially ON! In just ONE WEEK, I’ll be hopping on a plane and heading to Florida for a few days of work, fun, and a whole lot of magic!

First stop… Universal! I’ll be spending a few days exploring, learning, experiencing the parks, checking out the resorts, and getting all the firsthand knowledge I can so I can bring it back to my clients. Being able to experience it myself means I can give you real tips, recommendations, and insight when planning your next Universal vacation!

And then… MAGIC KINGDOM!

I’ll be attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! 🎃👻🍬 I cannot wait for the Halloween decorations, characters in costume, treats, entertainment, and of course… that Disney magic!

I’ll be sharing the trip along the way, so follow along because I’m bringing you with me!

Some of the new itineraries will even include stops in Canada and Bermuda in 2027.

I’ve been to Bermuda a few times, and honestly, I’d go back again and again. It’s easily one of my favorite islands!

All I can say is… I CANNOT WAIT to see what Disney Cruise Line announces tomorrow!

I’ve been hoping for DCL to sail out of New York for a while now so I can skip the flight to Florida—and let’s be honest, it gives me another excuse to go to NYC! 😂🗽
