Our crews are starting to get caught back up after all of the storms here in Ohio. They found a decent weather day last week to get this home set down on the new foundation.

While one crew was digging out the other crew was too. This historic structure was rotted on the first story with no basement in down town Cleveland. We installed beams to hold the second story and dug out for a new 8’ basement. Every bit of dirt was hauled off site due to having very little room to work on this project. Once the foundation is complete a new first story will be built.

Over the past 20 years this home owner has been digging out his 6’ basement to make it an 8’ ceiling height with shovels and buckets. He decided to have us finish the front and part of 1 side. We set 4 Buckingham shoring posts with 6’ beams on top to hold the home in order to remove the old foundation.

We were contacted about another blow out in Columbus Ohio. Our crew moved in and found this home had lost a 2 story brick wall over night. We installed 2x6 walls in the basement, first floor and second floor to hold the structure from falling onto the neighboring property (per engineer). Each floor had to be lifted back to its original state before the walls were built. We used Buckingham shoring posts to elevate each floor. The 2x6 walls will stay in place until a contractor is able to build a new exterior wall from the foundation to the roof. After the structure was safe the crew cleaned up all of the debris and hauled it off site
