It’s great to have Covenant Aero based here, they recently got the Navajo to support local ministries such as Wings of Mercy.

Today was a big day! Since Covenant Aero was formed one of the visions for the future was a twin-engine airplane to be used to support Kingdom causes, one of them being flying missions for Wings of Mercy. This past year we have really been focused on this and through generous donations we have a Piper Navajo! This last month we have been getting it ready and training pilots,today was the first Wings of Mercy mission that it flew! We are very excited and give God the glory for opening up doors and allowing us to steward this. If you would like to learn more about ways to support and partner with our ministry both with flying this airplane for Wings of Mercy missions and supporting this ministry in other ways please reach out!

We are honored to have Covenant Aero based on our field, they not only support missionary pilots but also have a 182 in Alaska with Seen International supporting multiple organizations! As many of you know Covenant Aero’s mission is to help missionaries obtain their pilot license. Let me introduce you to Tate and Austin Bonnema! This young couple works with Overland Ministries and this young man is one motivated individual!
On October 15 of last year he started his private pilot flight training
In November of 2024 he got his private pilot license
From June 23 to August 30 of 2025 he went for his Instrument training
In July he also obtained his complex and high performance rating!
He is currently working in his commercial rating and has his check ride scheduled the end of October.
We are so proud of all of his accomplishments!
Please pray along with us for Austin, Tate and their baby daughter as they head back to the mission field in Africa the first of November! With his pilots license trips that used to take days or even weeks can now be completed in one day!
