It’s hard to believe there are 4 years in between these pictures. It looks like the process is still the same….”Give her some space so she can think.” In 2022 I accepted a job at Traders Point Church that I had no business saying “yes” to. It was a lot. I doubted myself. In the middle of this four day job I really questioned if we could do it. But we did it and they were happy. So 4 years later when they had to pull the whole place apart and rehome everything they called us back and again. They were worried the new space was not adequate. I said yes again. Even though I was more qualified… It was a lot. And I remember in the middle of the job when everything was in disarray and it was clear there was too much stuff and not enough space someone saying “Milissa are you getting worried yet?” And I said very confidently “Absolutely not.” That was a lie. I was worried. But I wasn’t giving up. What would be the gain in that? Failing isn’t an option. So we pressed on and we did it. I even surprised myself! Maybe the biggest thing I’ve learned in four years isn’t how to organize a space. It’s how to trust myself when things get hard. Because sometimes other people see what you’re capable of long before you see it yourself. So instead of waiting until you’re absolutely qualified or you’re absolutely ready… Maybe just say “yes!” 😃
