Everyone waits for peak foliage. I’m not sure you have to. 🍂
I was in Middlebury, Vermont this week and the leaves were still mostly green. But it was one of those cool mornings when you could feel the season beginning to change.
The Green Mountains. Endless farmland. Small towns. Farm stands, maple syrup and cider donuts. And every once in a while, one tree that clearly didn’t get the memo that it’s still summer.
I think this might be one of my favorite times to be in Vermont—before everyone arrives for the foliage.
Sometimes the best time to experience a destination isn’t necessarily the time everyone tells you to go.
Would you rather see Vermont at peak foliage—or just before it?
