Catamaran Gurus Announces Expansion in the Caribbean
The expansion marks the first step in a wider rollout as Catamaran Gurus brings its yacht ownership and advisory model to new markets.
Catamaran Gurus, the Fort Lauderdale-based catamaran ownership advisory and brokerage organization, has announced Virgin Island Yacht Brokers (VIYB) are joining them and establishing the company’s first dedicated Caribbean presence with the opening of their office in Soper’s Hole in the British Virgin Islands. This development marks the beginning of a broader expansion initiative.
The agreement extends Catamaran Gurus' services throughout some of the world's most active cruising and charter destinations and brings representation in the BVI, the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Martin, St. Croix, and Grenada.
With this expansion, respected Caribbean yacht broker and charter professional Steve Varrow, founder of Virgin Island Yacht Brokers, will lead Catamaran Gurus' operations throughout the region. Varrow brings more than fifteen years of experience as a professional charter captain, yacht broker, and advisor to yacht owners throughout the Caribbean. He brings along his professional team located strategically throughout the Caribbean.
Bringing Trusted Ownership Advice Closer to Owners & their Cruising Destination
Since its founding, Catamaran Gurus has built its reputation on providing independent, experience-driven guidance to yacht owners throughout every stage of ownership—from yacht selection and acquisition to charter management, cruising, maintenance, and eventual resale.
For many years, the Caribbean has been a central part of that journey. A significant percentage of the company's clients place their yachts into professionally managed charter programs throughout the region, while others cruise full-time aboard their yachts or maintain seasonal residences in the islands.
This development establishes a permanent regional presence, allowing Catamaran Gurus to provide local support and representation where many of its clients actively sail and operate their vessels.

The integration of Virgin Island Yacht Brokers represents the first of several planned regional expansion initiatives, with additional strategic partnerships and market announcements expected across North America and key cruising destinations in the near future.
