So it turns out my body really doesn't enjoy the heat,
Until recently all my energy has gone into staying on my feet,

Hot temperatures with peaks over fifty cooking me from the inside,
With other locations having humidity so high water off me does slide,

Months with no respite have left my body struggling to function,
Such was my suffering I had been lacking much of my old gumption,

But now its cooler I hope it's time to get things back on track,
I really hope to do something with this trip as it may be my last crack,

My terrible poems are here to continue for the time being at least,
While we work on other things & continue to travel roughly east,

Our plan is to release much more content as we continue our journey,
So please follow & support us so we don't have to finish too early.

After some careful planning we headed out into the desolate wilderness of the great central road in mid summer. Heat, sweat hard work was what we encountered on our 4/5 day 1100km journey through the centre of Australia on dirt/gravel tracks. The reward of seeing Uluru at the other side was worth it but I can certainly understand why the roads are deserted at this time of year.

Travelling the world isn't all wonderful experiences & breathtaking scenery. Sometimes (every few days tbh) you need to wash dirty pants & sweaty clothes. On the plus side our visa extension has been approved so we can stay in Indonesia for a few more weeks.

Without realising it we crossed the equator, luckily the town we stayed in lies right on the line & had a monument for us to celebrate the achievement. 1 year on the road currently on Borneo.
Also had an Atlas Beetle want to join Kelly on the journey by hanging onto her tyre. He wasn't happy when we removed him, a strong guy that's for sure.

A beautiful day out in Semenggoh Nature Reserve to visit our closest ancestors. Not like seeing them in the wild but that is increasingly difficult these days. This one was an absolute sweetheart.

So much beautiful architecture in and the surrounding temples. So many great things to see. I've added nature reclaiming her place amongst the temples. 😉

Right on the Chinese border in northern Vietnam the beautiful waterfalls of Ban Gioc Waterfalls
Thác Bản Giốc. Would love to see it in full rainy season as the sheer power of water is surely a sight to behold.

A week off the bikes to build up some leg strength & prepare for the next step. Visited the beautiful Langtang national park. Hiking through the wilderness we got to see many beautiful sights and my big camera is full of gorgeous sights. Here is just a snippet.

Riding to Pokhara we turned a corner to see a massive suspension bridge crossing the valley.
pelakot suspension bridge is an impressive structure spanning the gap with a very large drop below. Not recommended for those with a fear of heights that's for sure.
