Couples from around the world say their vows 💍 and enjoy their honeymoons in picturesque Bali, but what about a local traditional wedding? 💒

I was so lucky to have been invited to such a unique and unforgettable event! Words and my videos cannot do justice to the colors, sounds, smells, and magic ✨ of that morning... I literally felt like I had been transported to another era! 😲 The bride and groom were literally radiant in traditional clothing 🥻 and makeup, an ENORMOUS suckling pig 🐖 had been slow roasted for the reception, and all the elements of the earth were on full display. 🪵💦🔥

Not pictured are the HUNDREDS of neighbors who showed up the weekend before to decorate their house 🛖 (yes, that's the family HOUSE you're seeing!) and make thousands of meat sates 🍡 (skewers) for the reception and to offer as gifts. A true example of real community carrying on age-old rites. 🙏

It is so easy to find gorgeous, quiet spots like this in Bali! This is not some special hidden gem, just a regular rice field where local people cultivate their crops and go for a walk, jog, or bike ride.
