• Bicycles are ready – from here begins a journey through the simple paths of Hoi An.
• Guests cycle gently along the Hoai River, admiring the peaceful countryside – where bamboo groves rustle in the wind, and old houses peek through rows of areca trees.
• Crossing ancient iron bridges, feeling the first vibrations of the past intertwining with the present – a simple yet “precious” experience in everyone's memory.
• The journey is like a gentle symphony: the scent of new rice, early birdsong, sunlight filtering through the leaves – all make the soul feel recharged with pure “green energy”.
🧶 9:00 – 10:00 | Visit the mat-weaving village – Stories of the village and the craft
• Stopping by the cool Thu Bon River, guests enter the traditional space of Ms. Cong’s home – a village woman continuing the legacy of mat weaving passed down through generations.
• Here, guests will:
• Enjoy local tea, rest in an open space cooled by the river breeze.
• Listen to heartfelt stories about preserving and passing on the craft – simple yet full of pride.
• Observe artisans skillfully weaving mats by hand step-by-step.
• And especially – try hand-weaving the mats yourself, touching each rattan strand, feeling the meticulousness in each square – as if weaving your own memory into it.
🍜 10:00 – 12:00 | Becoming “a local” – Cooking and enjoying Mi Quang
• At a local family’s house, guests will join in preparing lunch – where cuisine is not just food, but a way of life.
• Guests will:
• Learn how to cook the famous Mi Quang – the culinary symbol of Quang Nam.
• Use fresh ingredients from the garden and local market.
• Laugh together, cook together, and enjoy a rich, rustic, yet charming countryside meal.
• After lunch, time is set aside to rest and relax under coconut trees, listening to the breeze – like a slow-motion scene in the midst of modern life.
🪵 12:00 – 15:30 | Kim B**g Carpentry Village – Where the soul of wood tells stories
• In the afternoon, guests continue to Kim B**g Carpentry Village – a craft village over 600 years old, famous for its exquisite wood carving art.
• Here:
• Village artisans will share the history, traditions, and life stories tied to each wood grain.
• Guests will choose a design and experience hand-carving – an activity both fun and artistic.
• With detailed guidance, you’ll create a personal souvenir – a unique piece not found in any shop.
• If time allows, you may also make a lovely small wooden keychain – a meaningful gift for loved ones.
🚤 15:30 – 17:00 | Return to Hoi An on the poetic Thu Bon River
• Conclude the journey with a wooden boat trip along the Thu Bon River – where the golden sunset dances on the water.
• Sitting on the boat, guests admire the riverbanks, bamboo hedges, and rooftops peeking through the trees, seeing Hoi An unfold like a moving watercolor painting.
