[Official Notice] Implementation of Pre-Arrival Information Declaration Requirements at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (TSN) 🛂✈️
To modernize immigration management and improve administrative service quality for passengers in a way that is faster, more convenient, and safer, the Vietnam Immigration Department officially applies the following new regulations for passengers arriving through Tan Son Nhat International Airport (TSN):
1. Subjects/Who this applies to
This regulation is mandatory for:
Foreign nationals entering Vietnam
Vietnamese citizens residing abroad (overseas Vietnamese) who use a visa to enter Vietnam
📌 Not applicable to:
Vietnamese citizens using a Vietnamese passport
Passengers who only transit (i.e., do not complete immigration entry procedures)
2. Details of the new regulation
📅 Effective from: April 15, 2026
According to Official Document No. 1474/CACK TSN, passengers in the applicable categories must:
Declare complete personal information before arriving at the entry checkpoint
After submitting the declaration, the system will issue a confirmation QR code
Present the QR code to the immigration officers at the checkpoint (Customs/Police—Tan Son Nhat International Airport) when completing entry procedures
⚠️ Important notes:
Failure to complete the pre-declaration may extend processing time at the checkpoint
Passengers must ensure the information provided is accurate, truthful, and complete
3. How to submit the declaration
Passengers may choose one of two flexible and convenient methods:

👉 Use the QR code provided through official information channels (effective from April 15, 2026)
💡 Recommendation:
It is advisable to complete the pre-declaration before departure to save time and avoid congestion at the immigration processing area.
