The Chocolate Hills remained safe even after a strong earthquake shook the province of Bohol and nearby islands in the central Philippines in October 2013. When greenish, you might wonder why these perfectly-shaped hills were named "Chocolate Hills." You can't find any cocoa plantations around either. So why "chocolate"? During the rainy season (June-February), the hills are covered with green grass, but it turns brown when the dry season starts (March-May), thus the name.

Fully vaccinated tourists will no longer need a negative RT-PCR test when visiting Boracay effective November 16, 2021, according to Aklan Governor Florencio T. Miraflores. Travelers will instead have to present proof of vaccination. Meanwhile "unvaccinated" or "partially vaccinated" will still required to present a negative swab test or RT-PCR.
