Explore the mysterious and breathtaking Devils Staircase at Horton Plains . A place where nature's beauty is beyond words

Devil's Staircase is a popular hiking trail located in the Horton Plains National Park in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It is considered one of the most challenging hikes in the country due to its steep ascent, rough terrain, and unpredictable weather conditions.

The trail starts at the Horton Plains National Park entrance and winds its way through the lush green forest before reaching the staircase itself, which is a series of steep, rocky steps that lead up to the summit of Kirigalpotta Mountain.

From the top of the staircase, hikers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. On a clear day, it is even possible to see the distant coast of Sri Lanka from the summit.

This hike is not for the faint of heart, but it is an unforgettable experience for those who are up for the challenge.
