My Shuttle Service recently visited a well-known German Motor vehicle dealer in The Cape Peninsula out of pure curiosity, nothing else.
I was quite "shocked" when the lady at the reception desk informed a potential client that she definitely NOT consider buying any of their vehicles if it was close to, or, "out of warranty", since the client was under the illusion , that most of the "teething problems" would have been resolved.
She was told explicitly: "Madam, you don't want to take that risk. I would - and so would or should any of our sales executives - strongly advise against your decision. The vehicles are meant to be OK within the Warranty Period. After that...well, I would urge you to think hard, and to think twice, before making any buyer's decision".
Enquiring about EV vehicles, the client for all intents and purposes, got the information the enclosed video is all about.
I'm not saying anything other that what the relevant video does.
It's not my place, nor my intention to express any thoughts of my own since I've personally not had the opportunity of driving or owning an EV vehicle to date.
What I am saying is - do the research, and ensure you make a well-informed decision before you do anything. I would not want to see you "throw your money in the water" so to speak.
Stay safe, drive safely, and enjoy your ride.
