For South African passport holders, Bali, Thailand and Zanzibar are three fantastic options where your Rand can go further โ with beautiful beaches, great food, affordable accommodation and plenty to see and do!

โ๏ธ Flights: There are no direct flights from South Africa to Bali, so youโll generally travel via a hub such as Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Singapore. Current return fares from Cape Town can be found from around R12,800, depending on dates and availability.
๐ Visa: South African ordinary passport holders can use Indonesiaโs Visa on Arrival (VoA). It costs IDR 500,000 (approximately R450) and allows an initial stay of 30 days, with the option to extend once for another 30 days. Your passport must have at least 6 months' validity and you need an onward/return ticket.
