The post includes an image of a RAW Transport truck, creating the false impression that this individual is connected to our business.

We wish to make it absolutely clear that the individual concerned is not, and has never been, an employee, driver, representative or associate of RAW Transport.

RAW Transport had no involvement whatsoever in the incident or the comments attributed to this individual.

We strongly reject racism and discriminatory behaviour in any form. The views and conduct attributed to this individual do not represent RAW Transport, our employees, or the values by which we conduct our business.

The use of an image of one of our vehicles in connection with this matter is therefore incorrect and misleading, and we respectfully request that any posts incorrectly associating RAW Transport with this individual be corrected or removed.

We ask members of the public not to share information linking RAW Transport to this matter without first verifying the facts.

Put Sandton or Montague Gardens on a quote request and every carrier in the country phones you back inside the hour. Put Ladismith, Willowmore, De Rust or Uniondale on the same form and listen to how quiet it gets.

We have never understood that. R.A.W. Transport grew up in George, surrounded by exactly those towns, and we have been running freight out to them since 1992. Out of the way is only out of the way if you are not from around here.

So the workshop outside Riversdale, the farming co-op past Oudtshoorn, the site where the tar gives up and the gravel starts. That is a normal Tuesday for our drivers, not a special favour.
