1. Do you do trips during the week? The train runs on the last Sunday of the month. We only organise extra trains over December and Easter weekend, and other special occasions.
2. Price? Adults R250. Pensioners and children 2-12 years R195. Children under 2 years old ride for free.
3. Wheelchair friendly? Inchanga station is wheelchair accessible, and there is also disability parking and toilets. You are able to get around the station and the market in a wheelchair. Unfortunately, the coaches were not made to be wheelchair accessible, but wheelchairs can be stored at the back of the train.
4. How long is the trip? The full trip is approximately 75 minutes.
5. Where can I book? All bookings can be made via our website: www.umgenisteamrailway.com
6. Can I bring food and water on the train? Yes, you can take food onto the train. Refreshments are sold on the train as well, and food is sold at the market at Inchanga.
7. Is it dog-friendly? We are not permitted to allow pets onto the train or into the Museum.
8. Where is the station? The trip starts at the Inchanga Railway Station, up to Botha's Hill, and back to Inchanga. Located at 2 Station Rd, Inchanga West, eNtshangwe, KZN
9. I am looking for work, please help me? Unfortunately, we are a volunteer organisation - none of our members gets paid for work performed.
10. What happens if it rains? The Inchanga Choo Choo will still run. However, the market will be a little bit affected. We still hope to see you!
