Traxtion has proudly supported Rovos Rail over the years through wheel refurbishments and locomotive leasing. Most recently, we supplied Locomotive 2004, delivering additional pulling power on key routes between Musina and Victoria Falls, as well as on special journeys between Pretoria and Durban.

To ensure optimal performance, a dedicated Traxtion artisan travels with the locomotive, playing a critical role in maintaining peak operation throughout each journey.

With nearly a decade of experience, Calabash - a joint venture between Traxtion and Calabash Freight Rail, has been operating on the TAZARA line, playing a key role in enabling cross-border rail logistics between Zambia and Tanzania.

This strategic corridor is vital to regional trade — linking inland markets to the Port of Dar es Salaam and supporting the efficient movement of goods across borders. Our operations on the TAZARA line are focused on the transportation of containers and mining products, ensuring consistent and reliable freight movement.

Traxtion’s Disability Learnership Programme marks a proud milestone as it enters its ninth year of empowering individuals living with disabilities. Since its inception, the programme has focused on equipping participants with practical skills that unlock access to meaningful workplace opportunities — maintaining a placement rate of over 50% for learners over the years.

In 2026, we expanded our impact with a new Plant Production Programme, in partnership with Fundisani Thuto, supporting communities around Rosslyn, including Makau, Ga-Rankuwa and Soshanguve. The initiative equips participants with skills to grow their own food and build income through agricultural entrepreneurship — driving both food security and economic empowerment.

Launched on 30 January 2026, this programme reflects our commitment to building sustainable, inclusive communities.
