With the launch of the "Saving Lives Sisonke" documentary Global Operations Director for Global, Donovan Govender stated 'I am immensely proud to share the remarkable story of our CEO, Leonard Lazarus, and his pivotal role in the logistics of the Sisonke project featured in this documentary'

Amid the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and global vaccine shortages, the Sisonke initiative emerged as a beacon of hope for healthcare workers in South Africa. Directed by Ashleigh Hamilton, the documentary chronicles the monumental efforts of Team Sisonke in rolling out the largest and fastest vaccine study in the world, ultimately safeguarding the lives of half a million frontline workers.

While Professors Glenda Gray and Linda-Gail Bekker provided visionary leadership, it was Len Lazarus who spearheaded the logistics behind the scenes. Under extreme time pressure, Len's expertise and dedication ensured the swift implementation of the logistics required to deliver the Sisonke study in just 17 days—an achievement that defied all odds.

"Saving Lives: Sisonke" showcases the resilience and ingenuity of Team Sisonke, with Len Lazarus's contributions playing a pivotal role in this historic endeavour. Don further went on to say, 'I couldn't be prouder of Len's leadership and his role in supporting such a vital project during these challenging times.'
