Comair Flight Services (CFS) is an industry leading business aviation company based at Lanseria International airport which specialises in aircraft management, charter, sales and FBO services.
A vacancy currently exists for a captain and aircraft manager on a Learjet 60.
List of standards and tasks to be met by dedicated pilot and aircraft manager-pilot:
• High standard of piloting aircraft;
• Good general level of cockpit skill and ability;
• Thorough flight planning to maintain a good mission dispatch and success rate;
• Good knowledge of and adherence to applicable laws and company, manufacturer and charter operator’s SOP’s;
• Neat personal appearance;
• Good interaction with aircraft/principal’s clients (i.e. charter company lessees of aircraft, other passengers conveyed on aircraft);
• Polite, well-mannered and respectful;
• Care and attention to passengers’ needs and comfort in all phases of a trip (arrival and baggage, in-flight catering, destination receiving and handling, car-hire, accommodation, etc.)
• Friendly and respectful interaction with Comair Flight Services office, administrative, ops and flight line staff.
• Constant and thorough on-ground attention to non-flight duties:
• Managing aircraft stock, cleaning and maintenance schedule.
• Attending Pilot and Safety Meetings.
• Aircraft and personal company required administrative tasks.
• Constant professional development beyond company and legally required minima (i.e. beyond minimum required CRM, SEPT, DG, IF and licence renewal, proficiency and line checks, etc.);
• Constant personal revision of aircraft technical and procedures, remaining abreast of market trends, etc.
Minimum requirements in order to be considered for this position:
• South African ATPL
• 3’000 Total hours
• 1’000 PIC hours
• 1’000 Multi-Engine
• 1’000 Jet
• LR60 Rating with 50 hours on type would be a definite advantage.
• Except for time on type, the above hours are not negotiable due to being Part 135 Operations Manual requirements. Please do not apply for this position if you do not meet our OM requirements.
• Any additional ratings on other aircraft types operated by CFS (Cessna Caravan, Pilatus PC-12, King Air 200, Citation Mustang, Learjet 45, etc.) would be to your advantage.
The company offers a market-related salary on a Cost to Company basis (includes provident fund and medical aid contribution) which will be discussed at an interview.
