Many of us have some idea of a book that we one day would like to publish. Now a days it's fairly easy to get a book published and self- publishing seems to be the way to go.
The biggest detrimental issue is- who will buy my book and how much will it cost?
If you print in a fictional environment – books should compete with the best and printing can be a challenge as these “heavy weights” should be printed on lighter paper. On-demand printing is not always that easy and if your numbers of print is too low it will find you on the pricing- which will take the numbers outside of competitive pricing leaving very little for the retailers-meaning your book won’t reach the shelve.
Textbook printing thus may be more cost effective and price ways you can add something to the price.
Finding people to read your book is something I will touch on next time.

The next book going to print is the Vegetable Production Manual- by Piet Stork. it will be a massive 420 pages full colour. Piet has dedicated 40 years of experience to this work. This is a commercial growers manual.
