Our Cycling and Road Safety Play Park programme, in partnership with Kids Collab, has been equipping children with the skills to navigate the streets of Langa more safely.

We have been working with the LANGA ECD FORUM to teach cycling and road safety to 45 ECDs.

We need partners and investors to help us take this project into schools. Many children cross the streets without looking, while others compete with cars on the road when cycling.

Today, we hosted a Learning Journey Experiencewith Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) and University of Cape Town students from across Africa.

The students had the opportunity to learn about the work we do with the HSRC under the UGood Project and how our work connects to the broader global context.

They enjoyed learning how we use bicycles to create economic opportunities, support livelihoods, improve mobility, and create safer spaces within our communities.

It was a meaningful opportunity to share our work, exchange knowledge, and learn from one another.

• Free Learn2Cycle Classes
• A Social Ride around Langa
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
If you are an experienced cyclist, you are warmly invited to join us by helping to teach beginner riders and marshal the social ride route.

Today, we celebrated Tata Nelson Mandela's legacy by awarding 50 certificates to children from Nolukhanyo ECD, led by Mama Jean Mpathi, who have completed three months of Cycling and Road Safety training at Langa Bicycle Hub.

Through this programme, we have seen how important road safety education is for children aged 4–7 years, as many of them naturally run across the road without looking, putting themselves at risk. We are proud to help build safer habits from a young age.

A heartfelt thank you to SnapScan for partnering with us, and to Ladles of Love and *Pinelands Primary School* for helping us provide meals to *450 children* as part of our Mandela Day celebration.

Together, we are creating safer, healthier, and stronger communities. 🚲💙
