SALES MANAGERS: MOORREESBURG
(FIXED TERM TO PERMANENT POSITION)
Boland Diesel requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to be appointed in the above-mentioned vacant position. The position/s will be based in Moorreesburg.
Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing
• More than 5 years’ Sales experience in the Petroleum Industry
• Experience in the Agri. commercial market would be an added advantage
• Sage X3 software experience would be an advantage
• Required to have a passport will be travelling to neighbouring countries.
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license (Essential)
• Well trained on basic CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
• Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills
• Must have experience working with tender proposals
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly independent, with strong personality and confidence to deliver results
• A strong relationship builder who is able to use their excellent interpersonal skills which focuses on growing existing relationships, together with generating new business
• A highly motivated self-starter, the Sales Manager will operate in a multi-tasking environment with deadlines and will be able to challenge themselves to exceed standards, striving for best. They are not easily deterred when obstacles or delays are encountered, organised and with a strong work ethic.
• Committed, enthusiastic and energetic, the Sales Manager will have the drive, initiative and focus required in this busy sales role. You will always be alert to your own performance and to the systems you work with.

Principal Accountabilities Include but not limited to the following:
Telesales
• Having a continuous pipeline of potential customers to contact
• Phone potential customers daily
• Update call sheet and data base daily
• Build relationships with potential customers
New Business
• Maximizing the level of sales by:
• Target and secure profitable new business by targeting prospective accounts, creating in-depth customer profiles and building relationships
• Working closely with the Sales Team to optimize all sales leads
• Identifying all potential new customers and having a clear strategy to acquire them
• Build a Sales Pipeline to ensure constant stream of sales
Customer Relationship Management
• Focus on growing existing relationships, together with generating new business
• Monthly reporting on existing customers
• Handle of customer enquiries daily
• Maintaining good relations with existing customers
• Ensure when travelling that appointments are set up with potential / existing customers
• Manage sales performance
• Have a follow up system to ensure all leads are continuously handled
• Sales forecasting (new business and existing)
• Work on weekly sales feedback reports (pros and cons for the week)
Market Research
• Continuously research target market
• Evaluate Trends, opportunities and options
• Ensure optimum pricing for the business
• Keep up to date on Markets, opposition and trends in the petroleum industry, and if there are any changes document them
• Knowledge and understand who the competitors are and what they are doing at all times
Administration
• Applying and completing forms for tenders, must have experience working with tender proposals
• Send out quotes to all potential customers
• Proactively managing the customer base to minimize bad debts
• Identifying bad payers from the debtor’s list and actively addressing them
Process and Procedures
• Ensure that pricing requirement is observed
• To ensure all other Direct procedures are adhered to in full
Relationship with other Jobs
• Work in association with Direct and Head Office Teams
• Operate, at all times, in a customer friendly and supportive way with all internal and external customers
