Long before these beams became part of the new Duinefontein Bridge, they had a journey of their own to complete.

Transporting 24 concrete beams, with the lightest weighing 45 tonnes, measuring 30 metres long, and the heaviest reaching 65 tonnes and extending to 36 metres in length, required precise timing, coordination and control. The moves took place during the early hours of the morning to minimise disruption to traffic, with every movement carried out under police es**rt as our convoy made its way along the route.

Our multi-axle trailers were utilised to carry the sheer weight of each beam, with our fleet moving in unison throughout. Each truck was followed by our es**rt drivers, keeping the convoy closely coordinated and every movement accounted for.

There is something remarkable about seeing structural elements of this magnitude moving through the stillness of the early morning. Roads that would soon return to their usual pace became the passage for something far greater, carrying the very structures that will help shape how communities connect and move in the years ahead.

Before the Askari 65 Power Long Range Cruiser could make her official debut, THH was already carrying out the unseen journey that made her arrival possible.

As the roads quietened, our team transported the yacht through the stillness of the night, allowing the route to be managed with reduced traffic, greater safety awareness and the control required for a move of this magnitude.
