Just a little education post:
It’s honestly getting tiring when people ask for a private shuttle quote, receive the price, and then respond with rude comments as if the number was just pulled out of thin air. A private shuttle is a real operating service with daily running costs, and the price reflects what it actually takes to keep a vehicle safe and reliable. Every trip includes expenses like fuel, vehicle payments, maintenance, insurance, and paying the driver a fair amount for their time, and those costs don’t disappear just because the trip may seem short.
And yes, sometimes people say, “But that’s more than an airplane ticket.” Of course it can be — a plane carries hundreds of passengers at once, while a private shuttle is running only for you. Others say it would be cheaper to drive themselves — and that’s perfectly fine, you’re welcome to do so — but then please don’t expect a private service to cost the same as doing it yourself.
If the quote doesn’t work for your budget, that’s completely understandable — not every service fits every pocket — but basic courtesy goes a long way. A simple “Thanks, it’s out of my budget” is more than enough. The unnecessary attitude after receiving a quote really isn’t needed.
