A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO ILZE | JFM LOGISTICS
Today, JFM Logistics takes a moment to recognise and celebrate someone who has played an incredibly important role in the journey of our business.
After nine years with JFM, we say thank you to Ilze for an extraordinary contribution defined by commitment, resilience, loyalty, hard work and an unwavering determination to get things done.
Ilze’s journey at JFM has been one of growth, responsibility and impact.
From the early days of the business through periods of significant growth, operational pressure and unprecedented challenges, Ilze consistently stepped forward and played whatever role was required to keep the business moving.
She has worked across almost every aspect of JFM’s operations and commercial environment, including sales, operations, tracking, client service, account management, collections and reconciliations.
She has dealt with clients, suppliers, shipping lines and service providers, worked through complex queries, followed up on outstanding matters, supported operational teams and helped ensure that our customers received the service they expected.
Most importantly, she never limited herself to what was simply written in a job description.
If something needed to be done, Ilze did it.
If there was a problem, she worked towards a solution.
If a client needed assistance, she made sure it was addressed.
If the business needed someone to take ownership, she stepped forward.
That attitude became one of the defining characteristics of her contribution to JFM.
Throughout her career with the company, Ilze helped pursue and develop important business opportunities and played a role in establishing relationships that would go on to become valuable to JFM.
She contributed to the foundations on which many of our client relationships and commercial opportunities were built, always approaching the work with determination and a genuine desire to see JFM succeed.
When the business faced some of its most challenging periods, Ilze was there.
When circumstances were uncertain, she continued working.
When pressure increased, she continued pushing forward.
And when things became difficult, she remained focused on finding a way through.
That consistency is something that cannot be taught from a job description.
It comes from character.
Over the course of nine years, Ilze earned the responsibility and recognition associated with her position as National Accounts Manager. It was not simply a title—it was the result of years of dedication, experience, responsibility and hard work.
She earned the trust of colleagues and clients alike by consistently demonstrating that she cared about the outcome.
She cared about getting things right.
She cared about protecting the interests of JFM.
She cared about our clients.
And, above all, she cared about the success of the business.
There are also countless contributions that happen behind the scenes and rarely receive recognition.
The early mornings.
The late nights.
The difficult conversations.
The countless follow-ups.
The problems that had to be resolved before they became bigger problems.
The pressure carried quietly.
The emails answered when everyone else had switched off.
The phone calls that could not wait until tomorrow.
The accounts that needed reconciling.
The clients who needed reassurance.
The operational issues that required immediate attention.
These are the things that rarely appear on a CV or performance review, but they are precisely the things that help businesses continue moving forward.
And Ilze consistently gave that level of commitment to JFM.
Her contribution has been far greater than any job description could ever capture.
The impact she leaves behind is not measured only in figures, accounts or client relationships.
It can be seen in the processes she helped strengthen, the standards she helped establish, the relationships she helped build, the problems she helped solve and the people she worked alongside throughout her journey.
Her fingerprints are firmly embedded in the history and growth of JFM Logistics.
The foundations she helped build have grown considerably over the years, and the business is stronger because of the contribution she made along the way.
We also recognise that saying goodbye to a valued member of the JFM team is bittersweet.
There is no doubt that Ilze will be missed.
Her knowledge, experience, energy, determination and willingness to take ownership have become an important part of the JFM culture.
But today is not about focusing on what we are losing.
It is about celebrating what Ilze has given.
It is about recognising nine years of exceptional service.
It is about acknowledging the difference one individual can make when they consistently show up, take responsibility and genuinely care about the organisation they represent.
And it is about saying thank you.
