The National Ports Authority is responsible for the safe, effective and efficient economic functioning of the national port system, which it manages in a landlord capacity. It provides port infrastructure and marine services

at the eight commercial seaports in South Africa – Richards Bay, Durban, Saldanha, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London, Mossel Bay and Ngqura. | A Year of Improving Performance and Positive Momentum

Our 2025/26 financial results reflect encouraging progress as we continue executing our recovery and turnaround initiatives.

Key highlights include:

✅ Rail volumes increased to 167.9 million tonnes, representing a 4.9% increase compared to the previous financial year.
✅Pipeline volumes increased by 6,9% to 14, 29 billion
✅ Revenue grew to R88.6 billion, a 7.1% increase from the previous year
✅ EBITDA is 30.9 billion for the year, which is 0,7% higher than the previous year
✅ Net profit of R4.6 billion, compared to the R1,9 billion loss reported in the previous financial year

These outcomes demonstrate the positive impact of operational improvements, strategic partnerships and focused ex*****on across the business.

We are proud to announce that the Port of Cape Town has been named Africa's Leading Cruise Port 2026 at the World Travel Awards held recently in Tanzania. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the port has received this prestigious accolade, solidifying its position as a premier cruise destination on the continent.

During the 2025/26 cruise season, the port welcomed 65 cruise vessel calls, showcasing its important role in international cruise tourism.
