Interesting facts about the Cheetah

Those dark lines running from a cheetah's eyes to its mouth aren't just for looks—they may help it hunt!

Scientists believe these black markings could reduce glare from bright sunlight, much like the black paint athletes wear under their eyes.

This may help cheetahs see more clearly while spotting prey across sunny grasslands.

Unlike many big cats, cheetahs mainly hunt during the day, making clear vision especially important!

Ever wondered how elephants can carry such enormous body weight without damaging their feet? A major reason is the **thick fat pad** beneath the bones.

Inside an elephant’s foot, the toe bones sit above a large cushion made of fatty and fibrous tissue. This pad works like a natural shock absorber, spreading the elephant’s weight across a wider area and reducing pressure on the bones and joints.

It also helps soften each step when the elephant walks over hard or uneven ground. Because the pad compresses under weight, the foot can absorb impact while still staying stable.

This special design allows elephants to move surprisingly quietly and comfortably despite their huge size.

So, an elephant’s foot is not just thick—it is carefully built to support tons of body weight with every step.
