The SAPS Criminal Record Centre is up to date with no backlog. This means the normal process takes 3 weeks.
Please be very careful when paying exorbitant amounts of money for ‘expedited’ Police Clearances. At PostNet Pretoria CBD we deal with customers on a daily basis who have been scammed by companies or individuals with ‘Expedited’ Police Clearances. Unfortunately it is only realized when their Police Clearance is rejected by the foreign government that asked for it.
Please note that the promised time frame by the SAPS is 15 working days(three weeks), but in the past we have all seen that the time frame can easily change to 6 weeks when things go wrong or when the SAPS experience a breakdown.
Also be aware that the time frame is only determined by the SAPS.
