Emirates has announced it will resume a limited flight schedule to and from Dubai after temporarily suspending operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

The airline said services are expected to restart after 10am local time, with affected passengers receiving cancellation notices and updates on accommodation arrangements.

The suspension followed a precautionary halt in operations, with authorities later confirming a gradual resumption of select flights.

Passengers have been advised to check flight status before heading to the airport. Officials also temporarily closed several nearby roads to manage traffic and ensure public safety.

Border Management Authority (BMA) is currently processing passengers manually due to ongoing network issues. The BMA IT team is actively working to resolve the fault as quickly as possible.

Please be advised that the central security point at the international terminal is experiencing high passenger volumes.

Airport Operations team is on-site and continues to closely monitor the situation. Passengers with minimal departure times are encouraged to call +27 (0)11 921 6262 or approach any ACSA or BMA personnel and request to be fast tracked.

Passengers are encouraged to proceed immediately to security after they have checked in.
