A relevant qualification i.e. a diploma or degree in Business administration
2 years minimum experience as a Business Development Officer

Job Specification
Assist the CEO in discovering and exploring business opportunities that SECOPA can engage in.
Through direct and indirect communication locate potential incubatees that can enter into a partnership with SECOPA;
Screen potential incubatees by analyzing their marketing strategies, deal requirements, business potential, and their financing requirements.
Based on screening SMME draft a contract based on incubatees’ needs and employ incubatees that can fit in our business model.
Study the integration of new venture and develop strategies and positions by with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
You will develop new businesses and relationships for SECOPA incubatees to an agreed annual target as specified in the KPIs
For existing incubates monitor and assist incubatee’s with the day-to-day activities of running a business
Perform risk analysis of individual SMME’s to assist in assessing their development needs, where weaknesses have been identified assist the SMME to self-manage with regards to finance, human resource, marketing as well as industrial developments.
Manage and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following SECOPA procedure
Keeping abreast of issues affecting different industries w.r.t. SMME’s and collect competitor intelligence
Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
