Recently, Billy and I visited a connection of ours for a birthday celebration on a beautiful farm in Harkerville. What we found there was more than just a gathering of good people. A whole family of peacocks shared the space with us, each one carrying its own colours, character and quiet magnificence.

But let me tell you… one particular gentleman had a little extra attitude! 😂🦚

This male peacock became VERY interested in our Geometric Connections vehicle branding, with all its beautiful colours and eye-catching designs. He was checking out our vehicle like, “Excuse me, I'm the only one who's supposed to be this beautiful on this farm! Who are these colourful newcomers, and are they challenging my position?” 🤣👑

The confidence! The attitude! The audacity! 😂🔥

I mean, here comes Geometric Connections, rolling onto the farm with our colourful branding, and suddenly Mr Peacock has to come and inspect the competition. Someone clearly felt that his crown was under threat! 🦚🚙🌈

And honestly? I LOVE IT!

Because there's something beautifully symbolic about this encounter. The peacock is often associated with confidence, spiritual awakening, protection, transformation, abundance and authenticity. Its magnificent feathers remind us that we were never meant to hide our colours just to fit into someone else's world.

Sometimes, you've simply got to own your presence. And apparently, sometimes you've got to defend your title as the most fabulous creature on the farm! 😂👑

As the sun began to set, some of the peacocks started climbing high into the pine trees to settle down for the night. We stood watching these magnificent creatures, appreciating the beauty of nature and the magic of being present. 🌲🌅

Meanwhile, we were making new connections of our own.

The evening continued around the fire with like-minded individuals, each unique and authentic in their own way. Different personalities, different stories, different journeys, all sharing the same space, warmth, laughter and appreciation for life.

And isn't that what genuine connection is all about?

Not changing yourself to belong. Not dimming your light to make others comfortable. Not pretending to be someone you're not just to earn a seat around the fire.

The right connections allow you to be fully yourself. ❤️🔥

Just like those peacocks, we all have our own colours to show the world. Some of us express ourselves through nature, some through our creativity, some through our energy, and some through a beautifully branded vehicle that apparently threatens the local peacock's monopoly on fabulousness! 😂🦚🌈

For Billy and me, life has always been about exploring, connecting and discovering the extraordinary hidden within ordinary moments. Sometimes, the most memorable experiences aren't planned at all. They unfold naturally when we follow our curiosity and remain open to the unexpected.

That evening in Harkerville reminded us once again:

And if someone feels threatened by your colours? Well, darling, that's not your cue to become beige! 😉🌈

Just another Wednesday at the office 🤙🏾

🎨✨ Sometimes you go looking for art… and the universe introduces you to the real artwork.

Friday night, after walking up and down Main Street taking in the incredible art displays during the Plett Arts Festival, we somehow ended up meeting Sylvie, co-owner of Café Civara — and what a beautiful soul to cross paths with! 💛

Sylvie had just arrived back from Germany and was quite shocked when we told her we’ve been living here for so long and somehow our paths hadn’t crossed yet. 😂

She gave us a little “Where have you boys been?” energy… so naturally I had to give it straight back:

“Well… we haven’t seen you either!” 😏😂

A little banter, a lot of laughter — and before we knew it, she had convinced us to come back for a drink after our art tour.

Now THIS is where I love seeing things come together.

The place was fully booked! 🙌🔥
And this time of year too!

There’s something beautiful about seeing a local business thriving — not because of hype, but because people genuinely want to be there. You can feel when a place has a heartbeat. And Café Civara definitely has one.

We enjoyed our drinks, watched the energy of the place and got chatting again.

Then came the husband. 😂

He saw us talking to Sylvie and jokingly announced:

“She is taken, boys!” 😂

I burst out laughing and told him:

“I can see why! Well done, my man… you’ve got a golden one!” ✨

And just like that, another connection was made.

Because this is what Geometric Connections is really about.

Not just destinations.
Not just tours.
Not just ticking places off a map.

It’s about people. Energy. Stories. Shared dreams. Unexpected meetings. And those little moments where you realise, “Okay… there’s a reason we were meant to meet.” 🌿✨

Billy and I have always believed that when you move through life authentically, the right connections have a funny way of finding you.

And this one?

Definitely one we’re keeping. 😉💛

We’ll be meeting up with Sylvie and her husband soon to explore possible collaborations with our tours — because when two local businesses can support each other, create opportunities and grow together, everybody wins. 🌍🤝

Café Civara is definitely going onto our Geometric Connections radar as a place we’ll be recommending and bringing our guests to when they experience Plettenberg Bay with us.
