Effective 1st January 2023 the law on IT vehicles has been reinforced, no more paying fines for traffic offences on IT vehicles all offences to be taken to fast track courts and minimum punishment is 30 days imprisonment....

*-* When your car is released at the port, make sure the movement sheet shows your name on it as a driver before leaving, if not request the agent to amend
*-* Only the driver is allowed on an IT vehicle so if you plan to travel with someone please budget for there transport to the border failure to this the car is impounded and driver will be arrested awaiting court appearance
*-* When the car is released from the port it's expected to be at the exit border within 3 days, any late exit or any vehicle parked even at TEMESA will be impounded and charged a penalty of $500
