🛑 Two men suffered serious injuries after being hit by trains in two separate incidents yesterday.
In the first incident, a man was struck at Figtree at 0115 Hours.
The second incident occurred near Ntabeni Primary School in Emakhandeni at 1650 Hours.
The NRZ wishes the two men a speedy recovery and urges people to stay clear of railways tracks to avoid being hit by trains.

The NRZ has, in partnership with Beitbridge Bulawayo Railway, started transporting Lithium concentrate from Gwanda Lithium Mine to Maputo Port for export. The first train carrying 1 000 tonnes of lithium concentrate, departed the newly commissioned BBR West Nicholson siding yesterday. BBR will haul the product on its 180km lap between Gwanda and Beitbridge from where NRZ takes over, hauling for more than 300km to Chicualacuala. The NRZ also appreciates its logistics partner, Silvergill, for its sterling role in this undertaking.
The NRZ is fully committed to ensuring it plays its role as a bulk commodity transporter, thereby ensuring the country’s ongoing economic development does not slow down.

🔴 The NRZ is concerned that some motorists continue to ignore traffic regulations when approaching level crossings.
In yet another level cross accident, a pick up truck was hit by a train at the Ruwa level crossing point on Monday after ignoring an approaching train. Fortunately there were no injuries.
The NRZ urges drivers to check for trains when approaching level crossings and stop when they see one.
Never try to beat a train to the level crossing.
